CalOptima REC Unveils List of Preferred EHR Vendors

CALOPTIMA REGIONAL EXTENSION CENTER UNVEILS
LIST OF PREFERRED ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD VENDORS
ORANGE, Calif. — October 12, 2011 — The CalOptima Regional Extension Center (COREC) announces today their preferred electronic health record (EHR) vendors.
After a rigorous review, COREC selected the following cooperative preferred EHR vendors based on their qualifications and status as federally certified EHR systems.
• Comtron
• Med A-Z
• MED3000
• Mitochon Systems
• Office Ally
• SuiteMed
These EHR vendors will offer exclusive contract terms and preferred pricing to COREC providers. In addition, the cooperative EHR vendors have integrated with COREC’s meaningful use dashboard to streamline the tracking of the physicians’ compliance and qualify for the Medi-Cal and Medicare incentive payments.
“This integrative analytic solution will be instrumental in assisting COREC’s enrolled providers’ to understand the value of meaningful use and achieve Stage 1 clinical quality criteria,” says Karynsue Frank, COREC director.
As part of a nationwide effort to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of health care through EHRs, COREC offers an array of technical administrative services, including assistance with selecting a suitable platform that best meets the needs of individual provider’s practice. Service Partner’s assist the physician with this decision and will arrange for a minimum of three EHR demonstrations to assess the functionality and pricing fit for the practice.
“We’re here to support Orange County providers adopt, implement and qualify for the federal incentives to defray the cost of buying and transitioning to a certified electronic health record,” says Karynsue Frank, COREC director. “COREC is vendor-neutral and will assist providers in implementing any EHR certified by the Office of the National Coordinator. However, our cooperative preferred vendors offer pre-negotiated bundled solutions to ensure enrolled physicians meet Stage 1 meaningful use. This enables providers to select suitable platforms for their practices at preferred pricing.”
COREC’s preferred EHR solutions are available for a preferred monthly fee that includes setup, training, technical support and additional features, such as integrative practice management and patient health registry services.
