Committees

Bylaws Committee

Reviews OCMA Bylaws and initiates recommendations for review.

Facilities Committee

Initiates recommendations to the board of directors regarding the maintenance of the OCMA property.

Health Information Technology Committee

Advises on the benefits, approaches and issues related to health information systems as it pertains to the delivery and care of patients.

Legislative Committee

Cooperates with the CMA in matters pertaining to legislation.

Membership Committee

Develops strategies regarding programs to recruit new members and retain current member physicians.

Nominations Committee

Selects nominees for OCMA Board of Directors, Officers, HOD Delegates and AMA/CMA trustees.

Organized Medical Staff Committee

Maintains ongoing liaison with medical staff of Orange County and initiates recommendations on issues of mutual concern of OCMA and Orange County medical staff.

Patient Complaint Peer Review

Reviews complaints, malpractice allegations and evaluates claims of improper medical practice. Attempts to improve patient/physician communication and advises both in a constructive manner. The panel has no authority to revoke a medical license or to discipline member physicians. OCMA has no power to require you or your physician to accept its advice.

Physician of Excellence (POE) Committee

Annual program which recognizes excellent physicians in the county. Committee Reviews POE nominations and selects yearly honorees.
