    Monarch HealthCare is currently searching for an exceptional candidate to fill our open Medical Director, Inpatient Services position. In this high profile position you will be tasked with setting the expectations and attitude for the Hospitalist Team. The Inpatient Medical Director is expected to collaborate with the Premier Medical Group Medical Director, OCHP Executive Director and the Director of Inpatient Services to ensure the program's effectiveness and success. The Inpatient Medical Director is to be a role model and mentor to members of the OCHP hospitalist team and contracted hospitalists, in addition to focusing on the performance of all hospitalists. The Inpatient Medical Director's time will be divided into clinical practice duties and program management/administration. As a general rule, a maximum of 50% of hours worked will be spent doing clinical practice and 50% in inpatient management and administration.

     

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Must possess strong clinical skills and demonstrate excellence in clinical decision-making. Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills are required.

     

    OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
    Organize, analyze and interpret data.
    Effectively leads program initiatives and mobilizes support from stakeholders.
    Accurately and efficiently processes and prioritizes diagnostic and clinically relevant information to achieve optimal outcomes.
    Functions effectively as a member of an Inpatient Management Hospitalist team with an understanding of managed care principles.

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years recent clinical experience on a Hospitalist team. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative leadership position is desirable. Must have experienced working within a medical group or IPA, with a strong understanding of clinical efficiency programs and organizational behavior.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Expressing or exchanging ideas in English. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals, including other physicians, patients, patient families, payers and physician office staff.

     

    LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
    Board Certification Internal Medicine
    Valid California Medical License.
    Current Negative TB test results.
    Current DEA License.
    Active hospital privileges at program hospitals.
